Estrellas de la Cumbia singer Thamara Gomez and Armonia 10 vocalist Valentin Lozada have sparked romance rumours following a trip to northwestern Peru.
Speculation began after the two musicians travelled to the beach resort town of Punta Sal in the Tumbes region. The 27 year old Gomez shared photos of her coastal getaway on her Instagram account.
In some of the images, she is seen hugging a man whose face is hidden from the camera. Another photograph shows a man with a tattooed chest. Gomez did not identify the companion who joined her on the trip.
Shortly afterwards, Lozada posted a romantic message to his own Instagram stories alongside a picture showing the silhouette of Gomez. He wrote that she was always his favourite place, adding a heart emoji.
Punta Sal getaway
The rumours among fans intensified because both singers shared pictures from the exact same location in Tumbes.
Gomez is currently the lead singer of Estrellas de la Cumbia, a popular Peruvian cumbia music group. Lozada performs with Armonia 10, one of the most established and widely known cumbia orchestras in Peru.
Prior to joining Estrellas de la Cumbia, Gomez was the vocalist for the musical group Son del Duke. During her professional time with that band, she dated the street comedian Alvaro Aurora.
Previous relationship
The relationship between Gomez and Aurora was one of her most publicised romances. She officially announced their separation in June 2025.
The split ended in controversy following accusations of disloyalty on the part of the comedian.
Following the breakup announcement, Gomez and Aurora directed indirect messages at each other on social media platforms.
