Russian pop singer Monetochka has been fined by a Moscow court for violating administrative regulations governing foreign agents in the Russian Federation.
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow found the artist guilty on September 22 under Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences. The court imposed an administrative fine of 35,000 rubles on the singer, whose real name is Elizaveta Gyrdymova.
Official information regarding the legal verdict was published on the Telegram channel of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction on September 23.
Foreign agent regulations and legal framework
Russia's Ministry of Justice previously added Gyrdymova to its official register of foreign agents, a designation that places individuals under strict regulatory oversight. Under Russian law, registered foreign agents must file financial accounting reports with state agencies and append explicit warning labels to all public statements and media content.
Administrative proceedings under Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences penalize failures to adhere to the established operating rules for foreign agents. Russian courts regularly issue financial penalties for administrative infractions related to required reporting and labelling.
Monetochka, who left Russia following her designation by authorities, is a prominent indie pop singer and songwriter. The Basmanny District Court in central Moscow frequently adjudicates administrative cases involving public figures and compliance with state regulations.
Financial performance and international tour revenue
The court fine comes amid reports of declining commercial income for the singer despite an expanded schedule of foreign concerts. Information published by the Telegram news channel Baza outlined the recent financial results for the artist's business operations.
According to data reported by Baza, Gyrdymova's company generated 560,800 euros in revenue during 2024. In 2025, total earnings fell to 285,500 euros, nearly halving the business's annual revenue despite a higher volume of concert performances hosted outside Russia.
