Silvia Cornejo announced she is pregnant with her second child with Jean Paul Gabeteau and confirmed the definitive end of her marriage to the businessman, after footage aired showing him kissing another woman.
The announcement came after the television program "Amor y fuego" broadcast controversial footage of Gabeteau kissing Analia Jimenez, the mother of his daughter. Cornejo, a former model and television host, called into Rodrigo Gonzalez's program "Peluchin" live to respond.
Cornejo said she learned of the images only minutes before calling in. She confirmed she is expecting her second child with Gabeteau, but said the pregnancy would not stop her from ending the relationship. She said her marriage to him ends today, that she had already forgiven him and believed in him before, and that he now has to answer for his actions.
Details of the alleged encounter
According to Gonzalez, known as Peluchin, Gabeteau and Jimenez shut themselves in a bathroom for several minutes during an event and said goodbye with a kiss on the mouth. Cornejo, 39, said the news hit her like a bucket of cold water.
Cornejo said she will never get back together with Gabeteau and that this situation will not repeat itself. She had previously forgiven her husband for other instances of infidelity, which she said she did because she was in love.
Second reunion despite pregnancy
Despite Cornejo's pregnancy, Gabeteau met again with Jimenez and was seen kissing her repeatedly during an event where the two appeared close once more. Gonzalez said his production team had no trouble obtaining the footage, since Gabeteau made no attempt to hide and the two kissed in public rather than in a private setting.
