Dominican performer Sergio Vargas and Puerto Rican singer Manny Manuel will perform together at the Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The danceable concert, titled "Junte de Ídolos," is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. at the venue located inside the Blue Mall shopping complex in Santo Domingo.
Produced by Amable Valenzuela of Valenzuela Productions, the event commemorates the 11th anniversary of the music program "Aquí está el merengue."

Both artists will offer an extensive repertoire of merengue hits that have marked their respective careers. Organizers confirmed that the production will also feature an artistic surprise to provide attendees with a performance filled with music and record hits.
Artist repertoires and featured songs
Vargas will take the stage accompanied by his orchestra, known as the "filarmónica de Villa Altagracia." His set list will include hits such as "Si algún día la ves," "Dile," "La quiero a morir," "Cómo es posible," "Vete y dile," and "Anoche hablamos del amor."
He will also perform "Mujeres vámonos," "Las mujeres," "Bamboleo," "Llorando se fue," "La carta," and "Ni tú, ni yo," alongside many other selections from his career.
Manny Manuel, who has been described by event organizers as the finest merengue voice in Puerto Rico, will delight the audience with a lineup of his own successful tracks.
His performance will feature songs including "Fiera callada," "Pero qué necesidad," "La chica de la escuela," "Rey de corazones," "Corazón partío," and "Cómo duele." He will also sing "Te amo," "Cosas de enamorados," "Y quién puede ser," and "Frente a frente," among other titles.
Musical heritage and performers
Merengue is a fast-paced genre of music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic and became one of the most popular Latin music styles across the Caribbean.
Vargas, a native of Villa Altagracia in the Dominican Republic, established himself as a prominent figure in merengue during the 1980s. Manny Manuel gained widespread acclaim in the 1990s as a solo artist following his early career in Puerto Rico.
The concert venue, Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo, is located within the Blue Mall commercial center in the Dominican Republic's capital city.
