Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 sold out of nearly all pre-order slots in South Korea before official sales began, pushing the earliest delivery date from August 7 to August 28, according to Business Post.
All memory configurations and color options were taken in the first pre-order wave. Buyers ordering afterward face a wait roughly three weeks longer than originally planned. Some physical stores are now booking deliveries for mid-September.
Samsung confirmed that demand significantly exceeded its own forecasts. The company had prepared around 40 percent more Galaxy Z Fold 8 units than Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra units, Business Post reported, but stocks still ran short. The 1TB Ultra variant is also delayed to August 28, while Galaxy Z Flip 8 delivery dates have shifted to August 11 or 18 depending on color.
Pre-order volumes for the Z Fold 8 are running roughly three times higher than for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and have reached about 80 percent of Galaxy S26 series pre-order levels. Samsung has not disclosed official pre-order figures or global sales data.
