Russian and Belarusian stage and screen actor Pavel Konek has died at the age of 39 following a sudden stroke, state news agency RIA Novosti reported.
A source in the actor's circle told the news agency that Konek was not suffering from any illness prior to his death, although he had experienced high blood pressure throughout his life.
The source said Konek routinely took necessary medication before taking the stage or appearing on camera, but continued to work even when he was feeling unwell.
The report of Konek's death was published by RIA Novosti, a major Moscow-based state news agency that serves as a primary wire service across Russia.
