Police in Podolsk have detained a man after a shooting during a late-night street confrontation left three people injured in the Moscow region.
The regional main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia confirmed the detention to news outlet Lenta.ru, reporting that the violence occurred on the night of August 10 near a residential building on General Smirnov Street.
Preliminary findings by law enforcement indicate that a domestic dispute broke out between two groups of intoxicated men. As the altercation escalated, one participant pulled out a traumatic pistol and fired directly toward his opponents.
Emergency services rushed the three injured men to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following the shooting, investigators opened a formal criminal case against the gunman on charges of intentionally inflicting light and medium-severity harm to health.

The suspect has been placed under a formal travel restriction, requiring him to remain at his designated residence while legal proceedings continue.
