Electricity supplier Pluz Energía has announced scheduled power cuts affecting thousands of residents across multiple districts of Metropolitan Lima on Saturday, August 15.
The utility company stated that the temporary suspension of electrical service is necessary to carry out scheduled maintenance and expansion work on the regional power grid. Pluz Energía advised residents in the affected sectors to take preventative measures during the planned outages.
Pluz Energía is an electricity distribution utility operating across northern Lima and the neighboring constitutional province of Callao, serving millions of residential and commercial customers. Metropolitan Lima, the capital of Peru, relies on periodic grid upgrades to maintain service quality and prevent unscheduled outages across its urban districts.
Schedule for Los Olivos District
In the northern district of Los Olivos, power outages are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The temporary outage in Los Olivos will affect multiple housing associations, urbanizations, human settlements, and residential areas, including:
