Pastas Milano has launched its Pasta Month initiative in Santo Domingo, partnering with youth baseball leagues to celebrate Dominican sports culture.

Pastas Milano Celebrates Pasta Month With Youth Baseball

Pastas Milano has launched a national campaign tied to the Dominican Republic baseball season, bringing together youth players, families, and sports figures in Santo Domingo.

The food brand introduced the initiative under the banner "Milano is the pasta of the Dominican baseball player" to mark its annual Pasta Month celebrations. The project connects the national passion for baseball with gastronomy and community activities across the country.

As part of the rollout, Milano organized a community event alongside the Joel Suárez League in Manoguayabo. Young athletes, coaches, relatives, and guests gathered at the local training facility where the children practice daily.

The morning gathering combined recreational baseball dynamics, music, games, and shared meals. Organizers planned the session to provide young athletes with a celebratory atmosphere in the environment where they begin building their sports careers.

Former Major League Baseball player Juan Guzmán, who is native to Manoguayabo, joined the event to spend time with the young players and their families. His presence highlighted the long journey athletes take from initial neighborhood practices to professional stadiums.

Manoguayabo is a municipal district in Santo Domingo Oeste known for producing professional baseball talent. Guzmán played a decade in Major League Baseball as a starting pitcher, making his participation a significant moment for the local youth league.

Community Participation and Gastronomy

Singer Martha Heredia and guest Katherine Núñez also took part in the day's activities, meeting with children and joining the recreational events arranged for neighborhood families.

Heredia, a Dominican vocalist who gained international prominence after winning the reality singing competition Latin American Idol, contributed music and entertainment to the gathering. Baseball serves as the national sport in the Dominican Republic, with youth leagues playing a central role in community life.

Following the athletic dynamics, participants gathered to share dishes of spaghetti prepared in multiple styles. Brand representatives stated that the shared meal allowed players, coaches, and relatives to converse and celebrate together.

Susanne Michelle Roldán, speaking for Pastas Milano, said the energy Dominicans bring to baseball is unique. She noted that this enthusiasm is present in every game, celebration, and in the motivation of children pursuing the sport.

Roldán added that Milano chose Pasta Month to highlight the shared experiences that bring Dominican families together. She explained that the campaign slogan reflects the daily moments supporting a young player, including training, family meals, and team camaraderie.

Future Activities for Pasta Month

Brand representatives emphasized that athletic passion begins long before a player reaches a professional stadium. They noted that the foundations of Dominican baseball are built on neighborhood fields, in after-school practices, and in childhood aspirations.

Milano confirmed that it will continue developing activities throughout Pasta Month. The upcoming schedule includes events in various public spaces where sports, gastronomy, and community life intersect across the Dominican Republic.

Pastas Milano is one of the most recognized food brands in the Dominican Republic, specializing in wheat pasta products. The company regularly aligns its seasonal promotions with major cultural events, including the annual professional baseball championship.
