Netflix will begin streaming the entire Walking Dead franchise in 2027 under a $500 million deal with AMC, the studio behind the saga, according to US media reports.
The five-year agreement covers the original series and all spin-offs, which will be available on both Netflix and AMC’s own platform, AMC+. Netflix has held exclusive US streaming rights to the franchise since 2011, but international subscribers will gain access for the first time under the new arrangement.
The deal covers the original The Walking Dead series along with Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Tales of The Walking Dead.
Lori Conkling, Netflix’s vice president of licensing, said in a statement that the platform was excited to partner with AMC Global Media to expand access to more audiences worldwide and bring the entire Walking Dead universe to Netflix.
