The mother and daughter attended the Italian fashion house's showcase for its Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Watts, 57, chose a bright fuchsia satin suit paired with black high-heeled pumps for the evening.
Kai drew attention in a white sleeveless mini dress teamed with silver high heels, bold makeup, a Gucci handbag, and large black sunglasses.
Watts documented the outing on her personal Instagram account on Sunday, September 27. The actress posted a series of images featuring her daughter, highlights from the runway show, and individual portraits of herself.
Gucci Showcase in Milan
The event forms part of Milan Fashion Week, one of the fashion industry's primary global trade events held twice a year in Italy. Gucci, founded in Florence in 1921, is among the historic luxury houses anchoring the Milan schedule.
Kai, who has spoken publicly about her identity as a transgender girl, is the younger of two children Watts shares with actor Liev Schreiber. Watts and Schreiber were in a relationship from 2005 to 2016.
The former couple also have a 19-year-old son, Sasha. Schreiber has been married to Taylor Neisen since 2023.
Family Background and Parental Support
Schreiber spoke to Variety in May about his reaction when Kai told her parents that she is transgender. He recalled that Kai had always been who she is, noting that the most profound moment arrived when she asked the family to change the pronouns they used for her.
The actor said that to be honest, the request did not feel like a major adjustment to him because Kai had been feminine for a long time. He described his daughter as a fighter and emphasized how vital it was for her to express her identity publicly.
