Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña has announced her return to the stage as a solo artist following her departure from the cumbia orchestra La Bella Luz.
The former lead vocalist will make her provincial solo debut on Saturday, September 5, in the southern Peruvian city of Cusco. The performance forms part of the public celebrations held for the 28th anniversary of the city.
Saldaña is preparing for her return to live performance while authorities investigate a legal complaint she filed against César Sánchez, the former musical director of La Bella Luz. The prominent cumbia group is led by director Óscar Custodio.

First solo concert in Cusco
The scheduled appearance in Cusco will mark the singer's first show in the provinces since launching her solo career. Saldaña confirmed the date by publishing the official event flyer on her social media channels.
She is set to share the stage during the anniversary event with several regional musical acts, including the Peruvian cumbia group La Única Tropical.
Her stage return follows the release of her emotional single titled Aprendí, which marks the start of her new musical phase following her departure from the orchestra.

Social media statement
In a series of messages posted to her social media accounts, Saldaña reflected on her decision to return to singing despite recent personal and professional challenges. She stated that she had to keep going, adding that singing has been what she loves and knows how to do since she was very small, as well as the most beautiful way she found to express everything inside her.
Addressing her fans, Saldaña expressed gratitude to the public for holding, embracing, and accompanying her through recent times. She noted that she had felt every message, word, and gesture of affection sent to her during her transition.

Return to live performance
Saldaña also shared a longer message discussing what performing on stage means to her career and personal well-being. She stated that an artist needs a stage to feel, deliver, connect, and live.
She added that while she might not need to have all the answers or know what comes next, she only needed to return to the place where her heart has always known how to be happy, noting that as long as she can sing, everything will be fine.
The singer declared that it was time to perform for her audience once again and demonstrate on stage all the strength provided to her daily by her family, her work team, and her fans.

Background on Peruvian cumbia

Groupings like La Bella Luz perform at major regional festivals, city anniversaries, and public venues throughout the country.
Cusco, located in the Peruvian Andes, hosts major annual anniversary festivities featuring live concerts from national and regional musical artists.
