Nacional Kids Launches 'La Súper Diligencia'

Supermercados Nacional presented "La Súper Diligencia," the latest initiative from its Nacional Kids platform, aimed at transforming the supermarket visit into a learning and entertainment experience for the whole family. The launch is part of the company's broader effort to develop value-added offerings for Dominican families.

The event was held at the Metro Plaza branch, which brought together special guests, business partners and representatives of sponsoring brands.

Nacional Kids is a children's platform created so families can spend quality time together during supermarket visits. Over the past two years, it has become an established space that promotes positive habits, encourages learning and strengthens time shared between parents and children. Through in-person activities, digital content and specialized partnerships, the platform has built initiatives meant to enrich the family experience both inside and outside the stores.

Since it was created, Nacional Kids has developed programs aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 12, incorporating educational tools and interactive activities in supermarkets and across its digital channels. Supermercados Nacional describes itself as the first supermarket chain in the Dominican Republic to build a platform specifically focused on children, and it has used the platform to promote content on balanced eating, environmental care, family togetherness and other topics relevant to younger generations.

A hands-on adventure inside the store

"La Súper Diligencia" is designed to turn the supermarket visit into a participatory adventure, letting children discover, explore and build skills while accompanying their parents through the shopping process.

The initiative is backed by a team of specialists, including psychologists, nutritionists and content creators, who contribute educational material and practical tools to help families raise their children.

Madelyn Martínez, vice president of Marketing for Formats and Retail Finance at Centro Cuesta Nacional, said that with La Súper Diligencia the company continues to strengthen its commitment to offering ideas that connect with families and add value beyond the purchase itself. She said the goal is for children to discover that a supermarket visit can also become an opportunity to explore, build positive habits and share special moments with their parents.

A partnership with well-known brands

"La Súper Diligencia" is the result of a strategic alliance with major sponsoring brands that share the goal of promoting enriching initiatives for Dominican families. Those brands include Act II, Avena América, Bon, Carnation, Caserío, Dino, Frank's, Hellmann's, Lurpak, Malta Morena, Milano, Milex, Munné, Nestum, Nido, Parmalat, Santal, Snack Pack, Yoki, Líder, Food Club, Crav'n and Tippy Toes.

With "La Súper Diligencia," Supermercados Nacional says it continues to build up Nacional Kids as a distinctive platform within the retail sector, developing initiatives that enrich the shopping experience and create spaces for participation, discovery and enjoyment for the whole family.
