The final of Miss World 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 5, in the coastal city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, with Peruvian model Josiane Sciotti among the delegates competing for the crown.
Vietnam is 12 hours ahead of Peru, so viewers there will be able to follow the ceremony in the morning. The broadcast is expected to run between roughly 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Peruvian time, though organizers have yet to confirm the exact start time.
How Vietnam was picked as host
The Miss World Organization announced Vietnam as the host country on March 25, 2026, through its social media channels. Hoàng Nhật Nam, director of Miss World Vietnam, later confirmed the news.
On March 29, Julia Morley, president and chief executive of the Miss World Organization, appeared alongside then-reigning Miss World 2025 titleholder Suchata Chuangsri to announce that this year's edition would run from August 9 to September 5. The announcement came during the Miss World Vietnam 2025 pageant, held in Ho Chi Minh City. Miss World is one of the most prominent international beauty pageants, alongside Miss Universe, and has crowned a winner most years since 1951.
Josiane Sciotti's path to the final
Sciotti, representing Peru, is already in Vietnam taking part in the preliminary activities that precede the September 5 final as she looks to fly the flag for her country.
Who are the favorites
With two weeks left before the final, beauty pageant analysts have begun naming their picks for the podium. From Latin America, the name mentioned most often is Mística Núñez, 25, representing Venezuela. Another South American contender is Ignacia Fernández, Miss Chile, a model and singer who hopes to bring the crown home.
From Europe, analysts point to Linda Górecki of the Czech Republic and Elisabeth Reynés of Spain as leading the field ahead of the rest of the competitors.
