American singer Miley Cyrus has announced that her tenth studio album, titled Bass Persuades, will be released on September 18.
The upcoming ten-track record features collaborations with American singer Andrew Wyatt, the frontman of indie pop group Miike Snow, as well as the rock band Model/Actriz.
To support the launch, Cyrus confirmed two promotional concerts at the emblematic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, scheduled for October 16 and October 18.
Cyrus, who rose to fame as a teenager starring in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana, has developed a career spanning pop, rock, and country music over two decades. Known for hit singles such as Wrecking Ball and Party in the U.S.A., she has released nine previous studio albums and established herself as one of the most prominent pop cultural figures of her era.
Album concept and Instagram statement
In a statement posted on her official Instagram account, Cyrus described the new album as being full of emotion and deeply moved, stating that it encompasses everything in between.
She explained that this emotional breadth is what the title means to her. Cyrus also expressed her gratitude to her followers, thanking them for being part of making her wildest dreams come true.
Addressing her choice of venue for the promotional dates, Cyrus noted that the Hollywood Bowl is her favourite place to enjoy music and watch her favourite artists perform.
She added that while she has sat in the audience on many occasions, she has never previously taken the stage there. Expressing her emotional connection to the city, she stated that Los Angeles is her heart and that she is bringing her music back home.
Located in the Hollywood Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, California, the Hollywood Bowl is a famous open-air amphitheatre that opened in 1922. The landmark venue is known for its shell-shaped stage structure and accommodates over 17,000 spectators for live performances.
Featured collaborators and social media update
The upcoming release features guest appearances by Andrew Wyatt and Model/Actriz across its ten songs. Wyatt is an American songwriter, vocalist, and record producer best known as the lead singer of Swedish-American indie pop band Miike Snow, having also co-written major hit records for international pop performers.
Model/Actriz is an American noise-rock and post-punk group based in Brooklyn, New York. The band is recognized for its intense instrumental arrangements and dynamic stage shows, bringing an experimental element to Cyrus's new record.
The album announcement coincides with a striking name change across Cyrus's social media profiles. The singer has removed her surname to display only her first name, Miley, as part of her preparations for the upcoming musical era.
Career timeline and previous releases
Her tenth studio album follows the 2025 release of Something Beautiful, a project that consolidated a new musical stage for the artist. Cyrus previously won a Grammy Award for Flowers, the main track associated with the record.
The Grammy Awards are presented annually by the Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. The success of Flowers marked one of the biggest commercial milestones of Cyrus's career, topping global charts and achieving record-breaking streaming numbers.
Bass Persuades is scheduled to arrive on music streaming platforms and retail outlets on September 18, ahead of Cyrus's two live shows at the Hollywood Bowl in mid-October.
