A new collectible sticker album is charting a century and a half of history at the Malagueta bullring in Malaga, Spain, using 180 images spread across 24 pages.
The album was produced by HolyCards with backing and sponsorship from the Malaga Provincial Council. It lets fans revisit some of the most iconic moments, figures and corners of a venue that has become one of the city's symbols.
The publication is organised into eight themed sections. These include chapters on historic bullfighters who shaped the venue's story, major names in bullfighting from Malaga, winners from the various annual fairs, poster art, the world of horses, and the medical teams who have staffed the ring's infirmary over the years.
Architecture and history of the venue
The album also features photographs of the bullring taken over the years, along with architectural details of the building. La Malagueta was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1976 and a Site of Cultural Interest in 1981.
The bullring, built in 1874, is one of Spain's oldest and is known for its distinctive dodecagonal (twelve-sided) shape, which is unusual among Spanish bullrings.
Launch event and free distribution
The album was presented on the evening of August 3, 2026, at the La Malagueta cultural centre, as part of a wider programme of events marking the bullring's 150th anniversary.
According to the Malaga Provincial Council, 1,000 albums have been printed and will be distributed free of charge to attendees and participants at the commemorative events. Packets of stickers will likewise be handed out during the various activities that make up the anniversary's cultural programme.

Manuel Marmolejo, the council's deputy for economic administrative management, said La Malagueta is not just a bullring but an emblematic building, a cultural meeting point and a living record of different generations of people from Malaga.
