Fans of the cult group Korol i Shut gathered at Bogoslovskoye Cemetery on Mikhail Gorshenev's birthday, 78.ru reported. Followers paid tribute to the performer on August 7, when he would have turned 53 years old. Mikhail's mother, Tatyana Ivanovna, also came to the cemetery.
Tatyana Ivanovna said she was paying tribute to her son's fans because fans were sacred to Mikhail and he never turned anyone down. One fan told journalists she traveled from Murmansk and was visiting St. Petersburg for the first time. She said she planned her vacation specifically to visit the cemetery first and then attend an evening concert honoring the Russian rock legend.
Grave security measures
In 2024, a camera was installed over Gorshenev's grave following a raid by vandals. Fans of the performer created a petition demanding regular patrolling near the rock star's monument.
