Korina Rivadeneira Denies Marrying Mario Hart for Residency

Venezuelan model Korina Rivadeneira has denied claims that she married Peruvian driver Mario Hart in 2017 to avoid deportation from Peru, addressing allegations that resurfaced following the couple's recent separation.

Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram account, the television personality rejected accusations that she used her wedding or cohabitation to secure legal documents in the country, asserting that her residency was resolved through court proceedings.

Mario Hart y Korina Rivadeneira se casaron en 2017, pero su matrimonio fue anulado dos años después.

Legal residency and court ruling

Rivadeneira married Hart in the Peruvian town of Huaral in April 2017 while facing an expulsion order issued over alleged documentation infractions. The marriage generated widespread public speculation regarding her immigration status before being invalidated two years later.

The contestant on television show Me caigo de risa explained that she did not rely on the marriage to remain in Peru, stating that she had previously held worker-resident status and resolved her immigration process through a constitutional amparo lawsuit.

The Sixth Constitutional Court of Lima annulled the deportation sanction after ruling that the Peruvian state had violated her rights to due process and work. The court decision automatically restored her previous status as a worker-resident in Peru.

Financial independence and household split

Addressing claims regarding her personal finances, Rivadeneira denied ever depending on Hart for financial support. She stated that she had worked consistently before meeting him and maintained her career throughout their relationship.

She explained that all household and family expenses were split evenly at 50 percent between them. She added that she never kept financial tabs on her partner or demanded reimbursement, maintaining that she always earned her own living and contributed extra when possible.

Separation and appeal against online hate

The public statements followed the officialization of the couple's separation by the former singer and driver. Rivadeneira previously stated that Hart initiated the end of their relationship on two separate occasions, with the final trigger occurring after she became a mother.

Despite the end of their marriage, Rivadeneira emphasized that she wishes the best for Hart and that they will remain family for their children. Hart has also noted that the pair continue to meet for the benefit of their children.

Closing her message, Rivadeneira called for an immediate end to social media attacks and hostility directed at both of them. She stressed that every personal situation has aspects unknown to the public, adding that both sides of their story were lived truthfully.
