Kimberly Guilfoyle Vacations in Greece on Superyacht

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the United States Ambassador to Greece, is touring the Ionian Sea this week, with a stop at the island of Meganisi alongside a group of friends.

Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and prosecutor who became a senior adviser to Donald Trump before her appointment as ambassador, arrived on Meganisi on Saturday, August 22. She dined at the well known restaurant Errikos in the village of Vathy before spending the rest of the evening at the bar Odysseas in the island's marina.

Traveling with her were Kate Zelle, her colleague at the US embassy; Hofit Golan, an internationally awarded influencer and longevity specialist; Christina Panagi, a Cypriot businesswoman; and Ramona Filip Tornaritis, another well known Cypriot businesswoman who owns the fashion house that bears her name.

Dinner and drinks on Meganisi

Meganisi is a small island near Lefkada in the Ionian Sea, popular in summer with sailing crews and yacht charters. Guilfoyle appeared in high spirits throughout the evening, seemingly enjoying both the Greek scenery and the food.

"I'm on vacation, it's wonderful," Guilfoyle told protothema. She was described as down to earth and friendly, stopping for anyone who wanted to say hello or take a selfie, from couples to young children.

The group stayed at the bar for about 45 minutes before moving on to a neighboring yacht for one more drink.

Next stop Fiskardo

The following morning the group set sail for Kalamos, another Ionian island, with Fiskardo on the island of Kefalonia as their next destination.

Aboard the "This Is It" superyacht

Guilfoyle and her friends are staying aboard This Is It, described as the largest super luxury catamaran in the world. With its striking asymmetric lines, the vessel hosts internationally famous guests every year, including the singer Rihanna and Tom Eastwood, as well as Adriana Lima and Jason Momoa, according to the report.

The yacht belongs to Tasos Papanastasiou, a Cypriot multimillionaire businessman who founded a foreign exchange trading platform. Chartering it costs from 350,000 euros a week in the low season up to 390,000 euros in the high season.

Inside the "Lamborghini of the seas"

This Is It has been nicknamed the Lamborghini of the seas because its design was inspired by supercars. It measures 43.5 meters long and 14.5 meters wide, with a hull and superstructure built from aluminum. It is powered by twin MTU engines producing 1,966 kilowatts, or 2,636 horsepower, and carries fuel tanks holding 53,000 liters.

The catamaran cruises comfortably at 17 knots, reaches a top speed of 21 knots, and has a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Its crew quarters can accommodate 12 crew members, meant to ensure a high level of service for guests.

The main salon includes a large bar with plenty of seating for gatherings, and floor to ceiling doors that open fully, removing the boundary between the interior salon and the outdoor deck, pool and sun deck, so that the view stretches uninterrupted to the horizon. The main deck also has a dining room that seats 12 people.

This Is It also has a pool measuring 4 by 4.8 meters, a gym, a jacuzzi and a luxury spa on the upper deck with its own treatment area and sauna. Next to the spa is a playroom that can be used to entertain children or as an extra guest room.

The master suite has a 3.3 meter high atrium and a panoramic veranda, along with a "vertical garden" spanning two decks that is meant to give the feeling of a seaside villa. Inside, six spacious cabins can host up to 12 guests in total, with floor to ceiling windows that minimize the boundary between the yacht and the sea, providing natural light and open views of the water.
