Around 100,000 people attended the five-day event in the Portuguese capital. Speaking a few hours before the festival closed, the director of promoter Last Tour Portugal told the Portuguese news agency Lusa that the organisation has already secured two more years at the venue for 2027 and 2028.

The director said the dates submitted to the municipal authorities fall on the final weekend of August. He added that festival organisers are already working toward those dates and contacting artists for the upcoming editions.

Future Dates and Festival Lineup

The fifth edition of MEO Kalorama concluded on Sunday night with a closing performance by American alternative metal band Deftones. The 2026 festival lineup also featured major international acts including Lauryn Hill, Black Star, and Grace Jones.

Organisers noted that Kalorama continues to grow and aims to surprise audiences with its expanding production and musical offerings in future editions.

Transport Services and Venue History

To accommodate the heavy attendance during the festival, the Lisbon Metro underground transit system extended its operating hours, providing extra services for concertgoers travelling to and from Parque da Bela Vista.

The Kalorama festival was first held in 2022, running from September 1 to September 3. Its second and third editions took place during the last weekend of August, whereas last year the event was held in June.

With the 2027 and 2028 venue agreements now finalised, organisers have re-established the end of August as the permanent slot for the annual music gathering in Lisbon.
