Kaley Cuoco broke down in tears as her fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, gave an emotional acceptance speech after winning the Emmy for best supporting actor for the series "Task" on Monday, September 14, at the 78th Emmy Awards.
Cuoco, who is pregnant with her second child, could not stop crying as she watched Pelphrey speak on stage after his win.
Visibly moved as the spotlight fell on him, Pelphrey used his moment at the microphone to thank his colleagues and fans, and to speak directly about Cuoco, their daughter and the baby they are expecting. He said the win felt incredible and thanked God for his life and his sobriety. He thanked his family and friends for their love and support over the years, from Emmy nights to small theaters and everything in between.
He then turned to Cuoco, calling her his favorite actress in the room, his love, his best friend, his partner, and, as he put it, "very pregnant." He said he loved her more than anything and that their family was the most precious thing in his life. Addressing his daughter directly, he said Matilda's daddy loves her, and told the baby on the way that daddy loves them too. He closed by thanking the audience and wishing them well.
Cuoco was seen wiping her face during the speech.

A short time later, Cuoco and Pelphrey posed together for photographers, embracing as Pelphrey held his award in one hand and kissed her on the mouth.
