Harry Potter actor Jessie Cave revealed her OnlyFans earnings surpassed her total acting income within a single year.
The 39-year-old actor, who played Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, told the Times she earned around 17,500 euros on her first day on the platform.
Cave said she easily made more money in one year on OnlyFans than during her whole acting career. She noted that seeing people publish swimsuit pictures or sensual content on Instagram made her realize they could monetize those posts, adding that she views paid content as the future where everyone will pay for everything.
Cave has four children with her long-term partner Alfie Brown. She admitted she did not expect her activity on the platform to prove so lucrative.
She initially expected to earn 5,835 euros and stay on the service for a few months to buy time while deciding her next step. However, she said it has now been more than a year and a half, and the platform truly saved their lives.
Financial struggles and childcare
Cave explained that she struggled to find other ways to support her family in previous years. High childcare costs severely limited her employment options during that time.
She said working at a supermarket was impossible due to childcare expenses and her desire to avoid people shouting Harry Potter spells at her while working. Retraining for a new profession was also unfeasible because she lacked the financial means to pay for further studies.
Cave recalled collapsing in despair when she thought her acting career was over while having no money.
Focus on hair content
Cave created her OnlyFans account in March 2025. She clarified from the beginning that her content would not be sexual and would focus on her hair for a specific audience.
Speaking on the podcast Before We Break Up Again, Cave explained her content targets people with a specific interest or fetish for hair. She had previously noticed that Instagram videos showing her hair generated high interest and numerous comments.
She clarified those comments were not obscene or sexual, but the repeated interest led her to create dedicated content around her hair. More than a year later, Cave said she continues in that same direction.
Personal visibility and image
Speaking to the Times, Cave linked her decision to a desire to feel visible again after giving birth to four children. She said she wanted to experience a certain gaze on herself after feeling invisible for a long period.
Cave noted that on stage she wears loose t-shirts and big glasses, and she has never posted bikini photos on social media. After remaining a quirky figure for a long time and feeling invisible after four children, she said the platform proved appealing to her.
