The Sverdlovsk Regional Court has sentenced Ivan Stolbov, a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk who holds Russian citizenship, to 13 years in prison for treason. The court's press service reported the verdict to Lenta.ru.
The court found that Stolbov transferred money to a Ukrainian organization to buy tactical medical supplies, equipment, weapons and ammunition, and military vehicles for Ukraine's armed forces.
Details of the transactions
Between May 2023 and October 2025, Stolbov made 11 transactions of about 100 hryvnia each. The total amount transferred came to 5,466 rubles and 13 kopecks.
He was detained in 2025 at Koltsovo airport while visiting his mother in Russia.
The court noted a similar earlier case in Barnaul, where a student was sentenced to 17 years in a penal colony for treason after painting anti-government graffiti, gathering information on Russian servicemen, and attempting to set fire to a military enlistment office.
