Giorgos Livanis and Andromache announce their separation

Greek singers Giorgos Livanis and Andromache have decided to end their marriage after one year together, announcing their separation through their lawyers on Friday.

The couple, who share an infant son born in September 2024, confirmed that they chose to part ways following a joint decision made in a spirit of mutual understanding and respect.

Their decision was made public on November 6 in a joint statement released by their authorized legal representatives, Annabella Ch. Theocharopoulou representing Andromache and Titika Nikea-Mouratoglou representing Livanis.

Joint legal statement

In the statement issued to print and digital media, the attorneys stated that the singers chose to follow separate paths in their personal lives after reaching an agreement in a climate of complete communication, mutual comprehension, and respect.

The lawyers added that both performers continue and will continue to move forward with the same deep appreciation and mutual respect that characterised their shared journey.

According to the statement, the former couple remains primarily committed to raising their son, focusing on his happiness, protection, and emotional peace of mind, and will continue to care for him jointly with undiminished love, affection, and attention.

The representatives also made a direct request to members of the media, asking reporters to show the necessary discretion and sensitivity toward the personal and family lives of both singers, and above all to safeguard the privacy of their young child.

Wedding ceremony and family life

Livanis and Andromache were married on October 5 at a private event estate in Varympompi, in the northern outskirts of the Greek capital.

The couple celebrated their wedding alongside two close friends, Mikaela Iona and Panagiotis Glentzis, who served as their koumbaroi, the traditional wedding sponsors in Greek marriage ceremonies.

The occasion was a double celebration for the family, as the wedding ceremony was immediately followed by the christening of their son, who was born on September 12, 2024.

Their public relationship had previously attracted attention in Greece. In January 2026, Andromache addressed commentary regarding their wedding, explaining that she had struggled to hold back tears throughout the ceremony and that observers had mistakenly labelled her sour as a result.

In October 2026, she publicly addressed curiosity about her private life again, stating that she remained indifferent to personal questions from reporters and that inquiries into her private affairs neither tired nor bored her.

Careers and public profiles

Both artists are prominent performers in the Greek music industry. Andromache, whose full name is Andromache Dimitropoulou, rose to prominence after appearing on the television talent competition The Voice of Greece in 2015.

She later represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 in Turin, Italy, performing the ethno-pop entry Ela, and has since released a succession of singles across Greek and regional charts.

Livanis has built a following as a contemporary laiko and pop vocalist, releasing regular radio tracks and headlining performances at major Athens nightlife venues.

The couple's wedding location, Varympompi, sits at the base of Mount Parnitha in northern Attica, an area known for large reception estates that frequently host celebrity weddings and formal gatherings.

Under Greek Orthodox tradition, koumbaroi hold an enduring role in family life, standing as religious sponsors during the exchange of wedding crowns and frequently acting as godparents to the couple's children.

The lawyers concluded their joint statement by expressing confidence that the press and the public would respect the couple's desire to keep this personal period away from publicity.
