Former Peruvian model Cati Caballero has opened up about her mixed emotions as she prepares to become a grandmother for the first time at age 45, saying she still finds it hard to say the word out loud.
In a video filmed inside a baby accessories and clothing store, Caballero said she was about a month away from traveling to Mexico, where her eldest daughter Ale Feldmuth lives with her husband, Emi Cantu, and is expecting the couple’s first child. The former face of the iconic television program Habacilar, hosted by Raul Romero, said the announcement still trips her up, though she was quick to add that her excitement is enormous and that the wait is almost over.
Caballero first revealed the news in March 2026. She returned to the topic in the baby store video, where she said shopping for the newborn felt like reliving early motherhood. She said she felt as though she were going to be a mother again, adding that she is extremely happy about the baby’s arrival.
Browsing strollers and cribs, she also remarked on how much the baby products market has expanded since her own children were born, saying there are now far too many things available and that you want to take everything home.
Ale Feldmuth announced her pregnancy on social media with a message addressed to the unborn child, saying the baby is a dream and the best gift God could have given them, and that they cannot wait to meet him or her.
When the news broke, Caballero shared her own reaction publicly, saying the family’s hearts were exploding with happiness and thanking God for the gift.
Followers praised Caballero’s enthusiasm online and also noted the image she maintains as she approaches this new stage of life.
