Dominican lawyer Eykis García Díaz has announced that she will present the French edition of her legal guide in Paris in November 2026.
The release of the new French text, titled "Article 100 - Le parcours de l'avocat étranger en France", follows the success of the original Spanish edition, "Artículo 100: El Camino del Abogado Extranjero en Francia", which was published in Santo Domingo on May 19, 2026.
García Díaz, who provides her legal services in the French capital, decided to produce the French edition to expand access to the work among international legal practitioners based in Western Europe.
Qualification for the Paris Bar
The book recounts the homologation and official swearing-in process that enabled García Díaz to practice before the Paris Bar Association. Based on her personal experience, the work offers a reference guide for foreign lawyers seeking to integrate into the French legal system.
The Paris Bar Association, known in France as the Ordre des Avocats de Paris, is one of the largest regulatory bodies for legal practitioners in Europe. For attorneys trained in foreign jurisdictions outside France, securing authorization to practice law involves completing rigorous credential validation procedures under French national legislation.
García Díaz holds dual professional credentials, maintaining membership in both the Paris Bar Association and the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, the regulatory body for legal practitioners in her home country.
Registration with French Publishers
Alongside her legal career, García Díaz is officially registered as a writer with AFNIL, the Agence Francophone pour la Numérotation Internationale du Livre, marking her formal entry into the French publishing industry.
AFNIL is the international agency responsible for assigning International Standard Book Numbers, or ISBNs, to books published in French across France and other Francophone regions. Registration with the organisation allows authors and publishing entities to standardise book distribution across international trade databases and retail channels.
The French volume is set to be put into circulation in Paris in November 2026, marking the next milestone for the project following its debut in Santo Domingo.
