Spanish pop singer Enrique Iglesias is facing poor ticket sales for his concert in Kazakhstan due to lack of interest and local market conditions, according to Russian music producer Yevgeny Finkelstein.
Data from ticketing services indicates that more than 34,000 tickets remain on sale for the event. Prices for the performance range from 105 dollars to 382 dollars per ticket.
Finkelstein, the head of PMI Corporation, addressed the low sales figures in comments reported by the news agency NSN. He stated that Iglesias is not a stadium artist and described Kazakhstan as a particularly difficult market for selling concert tickets.
Finkelstein explained that concertgoers in Kazakhstan typically do not purchase tickets in advance, noting that audiences in the country often wait to receive free passes. He added that the current ticket pricing is expensive and maintained that, despite his respect for Iglesias, the artist is unsuited to performing in massive stadium venues in such regional markets.

Iglesias, an internationally recognized Spanish singer and songwriter, has achieved widespread global success over a career spanning several decades. The sluggish ticket movement for the Spanish performer comes after another major music event was called off in the region earlier this year.
A concert by Russian singer Polina Gagarina, scheduled to take place in the Kazakh capital of Astana on April 5, was canceled prior to the performance. According to official statements issued at the time, the event was called off due to reasons beyond the control of the organizers or the artist.
