Country music icon Dolly Rebecca Parton has died peacefully at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 80.
Her nephew Bryan Seaver announced her passing on social media on Tuesday, August 25, confirming that the singer died surrounded by peace at her residence.
Seaver stated that his aunt lived in the light and was surely in the arms of Jesus.
Her family did not confirm an exact cause of death, though Parton was known to have faced health complications during recent months.

She revealed that she was coping with complications that arose following the death of her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, with whom she had shared nearly six decades of marriage.
