Police in Dmitrov have detained a 33-year-old local woman accused of destroying her former partner's property in a jealousy-fueled arson attack.
The suspect allegedly snuck onto the country plot during the day before setting fire to a single-story house and an automobile belonging to her 39-year-old ex-boyfriend. The resulting fire completely destroyed the residence, leaving the victim with nothing but ashes.
The 39-year-old victim contacted local police to file an official statement regarding the deliberate destruction of his property. He estimated the total damage caused by the fire at 2.2 million rubles. Following an investigation, police officers located and arrested the 33-year-old female resident on suspicion of carrying out the unlawful acts.
