Former model Dimitris Alexandrou was injured after being attacked by an off-leash dog while walking his own pet in his neighborhood. He shared video footage on Instagram showing visible marks on his leg and arm following the incident.
Alexandrou explained that he stepped in front of his dog, named Love, when the roaming animal charged toward them at full speed. The combined momentum of both 50-kilogram dogs knocked him to the ground.

The fall landed Alexandrou heavily on his left side, leaving him covered in dirt with a sore hip and severe swelling in his arm. He said he was fortunate to remain calm, which helped him manage the situation without further injury.
Dog Attack Details and Neighborhood Safety Concerns
According to Alexandrou, the attacking dog was being walked off its leash by its owner. While he was unsure whether the animal was a Pit Bull or a Presa Canario, he stressed that owning such large dogs carries immense responsibility because their bites can cause severe damage.
The 100-kilogram television personality said he managed to push the animal away and prevent a worse outcome. He voiced concern for others who walk in the area, pointing out that women, mothers, and residents with smaller dogs also use the neighborhood streets.
Medical Assessment and Health Recovery
Indicating his swollen arm, Alexandrou said he would likely need to visit a medical facility for an X-ray. Referencing the Greek tradition of Fanouropita, a cake baked to seek divine guidance or lost items, he added lightheartedly that the pie would reveal the true status of his health.
Alexandrou is a Greek television personality and former fashion model known for his appearances on national broadcasting networks and social media platforms. Large canine breeds such as the Presa Canario and Pit Bull are recognized for their muscular build and strength, requiring diligent control when walked in public spaces.
