Peruvian reality television show Combate is holding a massive open audition in Lima on September 12 to launch its new season. Network ATV announced the event for aspiring contestants looking to join the upcoming edition, titled Combate: Nueva generación.
The audition will take place outside the network central headquarters on Avenida Arequipa 3570 in the San Isidro district of Lima. Registration for applicants will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Organizers are seeking young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 to form the core roster of the renovated competition. Hundreds of applicants are expected to gather in San Isidro to compete for a spot on the broadcast.
Applicant requirements and contestant profiles
Producers are targeting a diverse selection of candidates to revamp the lineup for the new season. The call is open to athletes, digital content creators, and charismatic individuals with strong physical dexterity.
Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to endure demanding physical obstacle courses and perform effectively under high pressure. Beyond athletic conditioning, the production team is prioritizing candidates with distinct personalities and leadership qualities.
The new edition aims to introduce fresh faces to national television while maintaining the competitive intensity that defined the original format.
The legacy of the Red and Green teams
The launch of Combate: Nueva generación marks the return of a format that debuted on Peruvian television in 2011. Over its multi-year broadcast run, the show established itself as a flagship youth entertainment program for ATV, a major commercial television network in Peru.
The original program centered on a fierce daily competition between two rival squads, the Red Team and the Green Team. Contestants competed in physical trials, obstacle courses, and studio challenges to earn points for their respective sides.
During its broadcast history, the reality show served as a launching pad for numerous public figures in Peruvian entertainment. High-profile media personalities such as Michelle Soifer and Zumba gained national fame through their appearances on the series before expanding into television hosting and digital media. ATV recently confirmed the return of the franchise with an advance teaser trailer.
Potential return of iconic voice narrator
The announcement of the new season has raised expectations regarding the return of key staff members from the original broadcast, including commentator Peter Arévalo. Known widely by his screen alias Mr. Peet, Arévalo served for years as the iconic voiceover narrator for the show.
Arévalo addressed the speculation by confirming that he had held preliminary discussions with ATV production executives. He noted that the initial meetings went very well, though his official participation in the upcoming season remains unconfirmed.
Arévalo stated that both parties would evaluate future developments before making any final decision regarding his voiceover role. Further details regarding the premiere date of Combate: Nueva generación will follow the conclusion of the September casting process.
