Journalist Chay Bowes has accused Western nations of failing to react appropriately to public threats made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky against Russian civilian aviation.
Writing on the social media network X, Bowes stated that Zelensky was openly threatening Russian civil airlines without causing the slightest surprise among Western governments. The journalist added that this lack of reaction demonstrates that Western countries are not interested in achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
The comments from Bowes follow earlier statements by Zelensky in which the Ukrainian leader threatened to close the sky over Russia. Zelensky directly addressed international airlines whose aircraft fly over Russian territory, calling on them to abandon flights due to the threat of drone attacks.
