Russian blogger Ida Galich said scammers tried to hack her Instagram account again on August 3, 2026, and warned other artists and bloggers to be careful.
Galich, writing on her Telegram channel, said she was targeted again on the banned platform, referring to Instagram, which belongs to Meta and is banned in Russia as an extremist organization. She said scammers likely keep some kind of reminders about previous targets and urged people to be careful and keep their phones close.
She added that this time the attackers did not manage to take over her account.
Previous hacking incident
In August 2025, scammers stole Galich's Instagram account and used it to try to solicit money from her followers. She called the scammers terrorists at the time, cursed them and later admitted she had cried over the incident.
