Blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev criticized the quality of content in most modern media, describing 90 percent of outlets as degradation and scum. Speaking in a news review episode on the social network VKontakte, Lebedev said that 90 percent of all media consists of neuroslop and generated garbage.
Lebedev said that nobody reads or writes these materials, adding that robots create them to earn a small amount of money from views. He urged viewers not to be distracted by such content and stated that journalists produce low-quality material because they bear no responsibility to anyone for their work.
Media Criticism
The comments follow earlier statements by blogger and translator Dmitry Puchkov, known as Goblin, who called journalists not very educated creatures. According to Puchkov, representatives of the profession simply pass on what they were told.
