Blogger and designer Artemy Lebedev has advised a subscriber on how to deal with a fellow passenger's smelly socks in a train's platzkart carriage. He gave the advice during an episode of his show "Otveshnaya," available on the social network VKontakte.

A subscriber named Yana asked Lebedev what she should do about a neighbor in her platzkart carriage whose socks smelled strongly, with two more days of travel still ahead. Lebedev recommended she tell the man about the problem directly.
He also suggested buying clean socks at one of the train stations and giving them to the man so he could put them on instead of his old ones.
When the smell becomes unbearable
Lebedev said that at some point, when the amount of smelly socks in a platzkart carriage becomes unbearable, a person makes a certain effort in life and starts buying tickets for a compartment car instead, where socks smell much less.
Lebedev had previously said that one type of advice-giver deserves to be told off with profanity, referring to people who offer recommendations on how to live.
