Antena 3 topped Spanish TV on Friday with a 12.5% share, leading afternoon and prime time while La ruleta de la suerte was the day's most-watched programme nationwide.

Antena 3 leads Spanish TV on Friday with 12.5% share

Antena 3 was Spain’s most-watched television channel on Friday, recording a 12.5% audience share and finishing 3.9 percentage points ahead of its nearest rival.

The Atresmedia-owned channel led the afternoon slot with a 17.4% share and prime time with 12.6%. Across all channels, the Atresmedia group posted a 24.7% combined share, placing it first among broadcaster groups despite operating one fewer channel than its main competitor.

Antena 3 Noticias 1, anchored by Victoria Arnau, was the most-watched news broadcast of the day, drawing more than two million average viewers, a 23.3% share and three million unique viewers. It outpaced rivals by 13.5 and 9.4 percentage points. The second edition, presented by Vicente Valles, also led its time slot with more than 1.4 million average viewers and an 18.3% share, reaching 2.2 million unique viewers.

Morning programme Espejo Publico Verano, hosted by Lorena Garcia, beat its private-sector rival with a 12.6% share and 312,000 average viewers. In the information window running from 08:55 to 11:00, it grew to a 15.3% share among private channels.

Game show La ruleta de la suerte, hosted by Jorge Fernandez and Laura Moure, was the single most-watched programme across all of Spanish television on Friday, averaging more than 1.3 million viewers and a 19% share, with more than 2.5 million unique viewers. It beat competitors by 10.7 and 5.8 points.

Quiz show Pasapalabra, hosted by Roberto Leal, recorded a 16.4% share with more than 1.1 million average viewers, leading rivals by 6.4 and 5 points.

Drama series Suenos de libertad was the most-watched scripted programme on Spanish television, drawing nearly 1.1 million average viewers and a 13% share, finishing 6.7 and 2.2 points clear of its closest competitors.

On sibling channel laSexta, the midday news programme laSexta Noticias 14H posted its best audience share of the summer at 8.4%, attracting 648,000 average viewers and more than 1.1 million unique viewers. The evening edition led its main rival with about 500,000 average viewers and a 7.2% share.
