Ángel Fernández, the former partner of Peruvian actress Yiddá Eslava, has broken his silence months after their relationship ended, saying he was left deeply hurt by the way she treated him.
Fernández spoke out after Eslava avoided mentioning his name during a recent interview on the podcast 'Sin más que decir'. His comments came as a surprise, revealing for the first time how he experienced the end of their two-year romance.

In comments to the television programme 'Magaly TV La Firme', Fernández appeared affected as he recalled the separation and directed a pointed message at his ex-partner. He said that if Eslava feels so good being single, she should stay single and not hurt anyone else, and should stop giving people false hope.
He said she had indeed hurt him, adding that getting a person's hopes up that things will be fine and will get better, only to end things out of nowhere over things he thought could be resolved, was difficult to accept.
Fernández says he felt let down
Fernández ruled out that a third person was behind the split. Even so, he acknowledged that the way his relationship with Eslava ended left a bad taste, particularly given the close bond the two had built during their time together.
He told 'Magaly TV La Firme' that one thing still bothers him: that after the romance ended, their relationship dropped to almost nothing. Fernández recalled that he had considered Eslava one of the people he trusted most and had even tried to remain friends with her.
He said the one thing that still does not sit right with him is ending a relationship and having it amount to nothing. He said she had been like his best friend, someone he confided many things in, and that he had pushed for them to stay friends until the end, but she did not want to talk anymore.
Three years single before the relationship
Fernández also said he had committed fully to the relationship with the actress because, before it began, he had been single for three years and had not planned on getting emotionally involved with anyone again, but ultimately decided to give love a chance.
He said she had given him hope and then let him down. He explained that he had not expected to be in a relationship after three years of being single, but took the chance, and the two lasted two years built on a lot of faith and love. He said he had put in the effort to make it last.
