The husband of Analía Jiménez has filed for divorce after discovering her secret relationship with Peruvian businessman Jean Paul Gabuteau, according to court documents revealed on television.
The legal filing was exposed by the Peruvian entertainment television program Amor y Fuego, which shared details of accusations of adultery alongside physical and psychological abuse against Jiménez.
According to the document presented on the broadcast by show hosts Rodrigo González, also known as Peluchín, and Gigi Mitre, the lawsuit is dated May 13, 2019. The timeline indicates that the alleged extramarital romance occurred during the early years of Gabuteau's relationship with television presenter Silvia Cornejo.
The legal petition states that the plaintiff sought a divorce on grounds of adultery, physical and psychological violence, and dishonorable conduct that rendered shared life unbearable.
Allegations of a secret relationship
The court document details that it was painful for the husband to learn the reason behind the growing distance in his marriage. He discovered that his wife was maintaining a clandestine romantic relationship with Jean Paul Martín Gabuteau.
The legal document further alleges that Jiménez gave birth to a child with Gabuteau while she was still married to the plaintiff. The television report emphasized that the child was conceived as a result of the extramarital relationship during her marriage.
Scandal leads to separation
The revelation of the 2019 lawsuit comes shortly after secretly recorded footage, known in Peruvian showbusiness media as an ampay, showed Gabuteau kissing his former partner Jiménez.
The broadcast of the video led Silvia Cornejo to end her 11-year relationship with Gabuteau. Cornejo is currently pregnant with her second child with the businessman.
Following the split, Cornejo generated concern after being spotted arriving at a health clinic during her pregnancy. When asked about her clinic visit, Cornejo stated that she needed to take care of her health.
