Alexey Gavrilov Expecting Fourth Child With Katerina Keyru

Russian actor Alexey Gavrilov, best known for starring in the hit television sitcom Univer, is expecting his fourth child after his wife Katerina Keyru announced her pregnancy.

Keyru, a professional basketball player who has represented the Russian national team, shared the news on her Instagram page, confirming that the couple will soon welcome another child into their family.

Writing on social media, Keyru stated that their household would soon add one more person and that she would become a mother of multiple children. She added that children are the most important wealth in a person's life.

The expected arrival will be the third child for Keyru. The couple already shares a daughter named Elaiya, who was born in December 2024. Keyru also has a son named Theodor from a previous marriage.

For Gavrilov, the baby will mark his fourth biological child. The actor has two older sons from previous relationships: Solomon, from his marriage to Marina Melnikova, and Rami, born during his relationship with Mari Kirti.

Career Background and Personal Life

Gavrilov gained widespread public recognition for his role in Univer, a popular Russian comedy series focusing on university students living together in a shared college dormitory. The long-running television show became a major pop culture phenomenon in Russia and led to spin-off series following individual characters.

Keyru is a prominent Russian athlete who played as a guard in professional basketball. Over her sports career, she competed for major domestic clubs including Dynamo Moscow and Dynamo Kursk before representing Russia in international women's basketball tournaments.

Hints of a Sitcom Cast Reunion

The announcement comes alongside renewed interest in the sitcom that launched Gavrilov to national fame. Actor Andrey Gaydulyan, who starred in the original series as Sasha Sergeev, recently hinted at a potential return of the show's original cast members.

Gaydulyan posted a short comedic video shot on set decorations that almost exactly replicate the stylistic aesthetic of the early Univer episodes. The teaser clip quickly generated excitement among long-time viewers following rumors of a classic cast reunion.
