Alexander Nevsky's Film Studio Loses Nearly $19 Million

The films featured well-known Hollywood actors including Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts and Mark Dacascos, but failed to achieve commercial success. Shot reported that Nevsky's movies average around 3 out of 10 in audience ratings.

Investors pull back after flop

According to the report, investor and partner interest in Nevsky's projects dropped noticeably after the poor box office run of the film Maximum Impact. As a result, the studio began cutting costs, filming with a single crew, fewer locations and a smaller cast.

Shot also previously reported that Russian director Kirill Sokolov will make a science fiction thriller for Netflix.
