The Xiaomi 17 Max has topped AnTuTu's ranking of Android smartphones with the best user reviews, earning 97.58 percent positive feedback in the benchmarking firm's August 2026 update. Two Oppo models took the next two spots.
The Xiaomi 17 Max had spent a second consecutive month among the top three phones in the ranking but reached the top position for the first time this cycle.
AnTuTu is a widely used benchmarking platform that measures smartphone performance and also tracks user satisfaction ratings across devices.
What sets the Xiaomi 17 Max apart
The phone features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, an 8,000mAh battery, 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi paid particular attention to the camera system. The device carries a triple camera module with a 200-megapixel main sensor built with Leica support, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The phone also has IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
Oppo takes second and third place
The Oppo K15 Pro+ finished second with 97.42 percent positive ratings. The phone is aimed at mobile gaming and performance, built around a Dimensity 9500s processor, an active cooling system, a 165Hz AMOLED screen and an 8,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
Third place went to the foldable Oppo Find N5, which scored 96.52 percent and was the only flexible phone to make the ranking. Users rated its compactness highly, noting the device measures 8.93mm thick when folded and weighs just 229 grams.
Oppo is a Chinese smartphone maker known for its camera-focused devices and, in recent years, its foldable phone lineup, which competes with rivals such as Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.
Other phones in the top ranking
Also making the list of best-reviewed Android phones were the Nubia Z80 Ultra, Redmi K90 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra, Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition, Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Realme GT8 Pro. All of these received a satisfaction rating of at least 93 percent.
Budget options in a separate ranking
AnTuTu also updated a separate ranking of Android smartphones with the best price-to-performance ratio, sorting devices into five price categories from super-budget to flagship. Within that ranking, the firm's analysts highlighted a phone priced under 200 dollars that they said would be more than sufficient for most users, citing its long battery life, wireless charging support and features described as unusual for a budget device.
