The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate for Tuesday, August 11, at 44.83 hryvnias per dollar, weakening 7 kopecks from the previous rate.
The euro also weakened against the hryvnia, with the National Bank setting Tuesday's official rate at 51.78 hryvnias per euro, a loss of 17 kopecks, according to data on the regulator's website.
Interbank Market Rates
On Ukraine's interbank currency market, hryvnia quotations for the dollar stood at 44.82/44.85 by 16:00, while the euro traded at 51.78/51.80.
On August 10, the dollar rate in Ukrainian banks fell 4 kopecks to 45.01 hryvnias, with dollars sellable at an average rate of 44.48 hryvnias. The average euro rate rose 11 kopecks to 52.03 hryvnias, with euros sellable at 51.35 hryvnias.
At PrivatBank, the dollar rate held steady at 44.95 hryvnias, while the euro rate rose 15 kopecks to 52.10 hryvnias. Dollars could be sold there at 44.35 hryvnias and euros at 51.10 hryvnias.
