Tecno has announced a concept smartphone that could become one of the first devices with a display that has no visible bezels, according to Engadget.

The prototype will be presented at the IFA 2026 exhibition in Berlin, where the manufacturer plans to disclose more details about the new technology.
Tecno said its engineers managed to fully remove the bezels around the screen thanks to a new display module design. The company said it changed the placement of internal components and improved the panel integration technology to make maximum use of the front surface of the smartphone.
Practicality Still Unproven
Tecno has not yet shown the concept in operation, so its practicality cannot be assessed. It remains unclear how the smartphone would respond to touches near the edges of the screen.
The company said this is only a concept at this stage, so mass production is not yet being discussed. At the same time, Tecno said it plans to use the development as a basis for the design of future models if the technology successfully passes testing.
