TCL unveiled its latest hardware lineup, including the P80 smartphone series, TAB A1 tablets, and a 22-speaker soundbar, during a press event at Messe Berlin on September 3 ahead of the IFA 2026 trade fair.
The Chinese electronics manufacturer presented under the slogan "AI Inspired Life" in Hall 21A, where its booth runs from September 4 to September 8. Alongside its main debuts, TCL introduced a children's smartwatch, a dual-cooling refrigerator, and new monitor sizes.
IFA is an annual consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany. While showcasing new products, TCL also re-exhibited items introduced earlier this year at CES in Las Vegas and Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, including its flagship televisions and audio devices.
New P80 Smartphones Debut Display Technology
The P80 smartphone lineup comprises the P80 Ultra, P80 Pro, and standard P80. TCL stated the Ultra and Pro are the world's first phones with NXTPAPER AMOLED screens, bringing technology previewed at MWC into production. All three feature 6.83-inch 1.5K displays (2,772 by 1,280 pixels) with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness. The NXTPAPER technology pairs AMOLED color with an anti-glare layer, hardware blue light control, and a physical key toggling between standard, soft-toned Paper, and black-and-white Max Ink reading modes.
The top-tier P80 Ultra includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and optical and electronic stabilization, alongside a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch main sensor, an 8-megapixel autofocus ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel front camera. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor with 8 GB of RAM (plus 16 GB virtual RAM), it offers up to 512 GB of storage and a 5,800 mAh battery with 45-watt charging. The P80 Pro matches these specifications except for the periscope lens.
The base P80 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Elite chip, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 7.5-millimeter thin body, omitting NXTPAPER and the mode key. TCL confirmed all three 256 GB models launch in the European Union on September 11, alongside the 512 GB Ultra. The 512 GB Pro arrives on September 25, and the 128 GB P80 on September 18. Colors include Midnight Blue and Sunlit Gold, with Burgundy exclusive to the 512 GB Ultra. The box contains a cable and TPU case, while the 45-watt charger is sold separately. Prices were not disclosed.
TAB A1 Tablets and Connected Accessories
TCL introduced four TAB A1 tablets across two sizes and panel types. The 11-inch TAB A1 has a 2.1K 90 Hz screen, MediaTek Helio G100 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB expandable storage, 8,000 mAh battery with 20-watt charging, four speakers, and an IP54 metal body measuring 6.2 millimeters thick and 430 grams. The 11-inch TAB A1 NXTPAPER weighs 426 grams and adds screen modes. The 12.2-inch TAB A1 Plus features a 3:2 2.4K 120 Hz display and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, while the top-spec Plus NXTPAPER weighs 556 grams with 256 GB storage, a 10,000 mAh battery, 33-watt charging, and a physical NXTPAPER key. All four run Android 16 with Google Gemini and Circle to Search, supporting the T-Pen 2 stylus with 4,096 pressure levels, a keyboard case, and a Flip Case. No dates or prices were given.
For children, TCL presented the Kids Watch K5, featuring 4G, video calling, location tracking, safe zones, school mode, an SOS button, and interchangeable straps, sitting below the MOVETIME MT48 with dual-frequency GPS. TCL also displayed the Tbot K5 concept, a prototype artificial intelligence desktop companion for use while the watch charges.
High-End Audio Systems and Re-Exhibited Televisions
The Q95K soundbar system leads TCL's audio releases, featuring a soundbar, wireless subwoofer, and two rear speakers housing 22 total drivers in an 11.1.4 setup supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. TCL reported lab-tested peak power of 1,420 watts. The subwoofer utilizes dual 7-inch push-push drivers to minimize vibration. Bang & Olufsen provided audio calibration and voice beamforming tuning, complemented by AI Sonic-Adaptation room analysis. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 with eARC, ALLM, Dolby Vision pass-through, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Spotify, Google Cast Lite, and Tutti Choral TV speaker integration. Designed for screens 65 inches and larger, it launches in Europe in late September 2026 without an announced price.
TCL also displayed its 50-millimeter thick A65K soundbar (3.1.2 channels) and the Z100 speaker with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. Both won 2026-2027 EISA awards on August 25 in soundbar and wireless home cinema categories.
Citing company data, TCL claimed a 31.1 percent global market share in Mini LED TV shipments for 2025. It highlighted the X11L SQD-Mini LED flagship (75, 85, and 98 inches), boasting up to 20,736 dimming zones, 10,000 nits brightness, 100 percent BT.2020 coverage, WHVA 2.0 panel, 144 Hz refresh rate, and Bang & Olufsen sound. The C8L offers 6,000 nits and 4,032 zones in its 98-inch size, while the gaming C7L features 3,000 nits, 2,176 zones, and a 288 Hz mode; both were tested by La Razón in June. Other models include the frame-styled A400 Pro NXTVISION with walnut trim and 80 artwork displays, RGB-Mini LED RM9L and RM7L models, and the P8L and P7L QLED series. Four TVs won EISA awards in August: the 98-inch X11L, 85-inch RM9L, 75-inch C8L, and 65-inch C7L.
Expanded Gaming Monitors and Home Appliances
In monitors, TCL expanded existing lines. The 32X3A OLED monitor (31.5-inch 4K 240 Hz / FHD 480 Hz, 0.03 ms, Bang & Olufsen sound) gained a 27-inch sibling, the 27X3B. The 27C2A QD-Mini LED model (1,196 zones, 1,200 nits, 4K 160 Hz / FHD 320 Hz) added a 34-inch version, while the 27P2A Pro QHD (180 zones, 320 Hz, 800 nits) added the 25-inch 25P2A Pro. TCL noted its sponsorship as European monitor and TV partner for Tides of Annihilation by Eclipse Glow Games.
Home appliance debuts included the Dual Cooling Refrigerator with independent cooling circuits, a 5 to -20 degree Celsius convertible zone, automatic ice maker, and internal water dispenser. The Free Built-in vertical fridge and freezer pair requires only one centimeter of side clearance due to bottom heat dissipation. The Mega Space SE adds 74 liters of capacity using thin VIP wall panels, while the Flexi Series offers folding shelves and a T-Temp drawer. Washing products featured the P5 Super Drum with a 540-millimeter drum operating 40 percent below Class A energy limits, alongside the P9 AI SuperDrum Ultra Tower washer-dryer set for 2027 with Woolmark Green certification. Air conditioners included the FreshIN 3.0 (16 dB, Class A+++, 37 percent extra energy savings) and the VoxIN with offline voice control and soft breeze output.
All products are exhibited in Hall 21A at Messe Berlin through September 8. Apart from smartphones and the Q95K soundbar, release dates and prices remain unannounced.
