Gonidis told the programme that he had suffered from depression, adding that he had never spoken about it on a television show before. He said humour and prayer had helped him a great deal, and that Christ wants joy, love and life.
He went on to say that there are times when he feels worse than everyone else, and that he believes he is the most sinful person in the world. He said he has sinned against himself, has hurt people, and has both been hurt and hurt others in return, adding that what a person sows, they reap.

The singer also addressed what he described as a mistaken impression some people have of him. He said those who see him for the first time often assume he is unapproachable and difficult to get close to, but that this is not the case. Gonidis also commented on the criticism directed at fellow singer Yiannis Parios following a recent performance. He said a single unfortunate moment should not overshadow Parios's long career and legacy.
He said he had cried listening to Parios's songs before he himself became famous, and that taking away a singer's song is like taking away their soul. He said Parios had found himself in an unlucky moment and that a little respect would not hurt. He described Parios as a great singer, saying that a song has no age, only history.
