A 62-year-old Russian businessman has been found stabbed to death inside his home in Gorodishche in the north-western region of Vologda Oblast.
The entrepreneur was found lifeless by his daughter, according to reports published by the Russian Telegram news channel 112.

Preliminary assessments indicate that the killing took place between October 23 and October 26. The victim had two stab wounds, one to his chest and another to his back under the left shoulder blade.
Search for wanted acquaintance
An acquaintance of the businessman has been named as a suspect in the attack. Police are currently searching for the individual, who has not been publicly named.
The victim was active in local commerce, running freight transportation operations and managing car parking facilities. Private road haulage and parking lots form an important part of municipal business in regional Russia, where independent logistics firms transport freight between industrial centers and rural settlements. The region's economy relies heavily on metallurgical manufacturing, timber harvesting, and food processing, sectors that generate steady demand for commercial vehicle depots and freight haulage operators.

With more than one million subscribers, the channel has become one of the primary non-governmental sources for breaking crime news and accidents throughout the Russian Federation.

Police are continuing their search for the suspect. Authorities have not announced any arrests in connection with the businessman's death.
