Financial company NovaPay, owned by Ukrainian postal operator Nova Poshta, has completed the redemption of its Series B corporate bonds, paying investors 463.6 million hryvnias.
The payout represents the third successful bond redemption by the financial firm, which became the first entity on the Ukrainian capital market to conduct a public placement of corporate bonds during the country's full-scale war.
NovaPay issued the Series B debt instruments in July 2023 with a total nominal volume of 100 million hryvnias. Depending on the investment term selected by clients, annual yields ranged between 10 percent and 19 percent. Over the course of the securities' circulation period, more than 2,000 investors purchased the Series B issue.
In an official statement released on Thursday, 3 September, the company's press service announced that NovaPay had fully satisfied its financial obligations to investors. The company noted that all principal funds invested in the Series B issue had been returned alongside all accrued yield earnings.
NovaPay operates as the financial arm of Nova Group, the parent entity of Nova Poshta. Nova Poshta is Ukraine's leading private express delivery and logistics company, maintaining thousands of branch locations and automated parcel lockers nationwide. NovaPay provides digital payment processing, money transfers, and retail financial services integrated with Nova Poshta's physical network and mobile application.
Corporate bonds serve as debt securities issued by companies to raise investment capital directly from retail and institutional markets. In exchange for purchasing bonds, investors receive periodic interest income and repayment of their principal investment upon maturity.
Redemption history and bond portfolio
The Series B settlement marks the third bond series cleared by NovaPay. The company previously redeemed its Series C bond issue, valued at 100 million hryvnias, in September 2025. That was followed by the redemption of its Series A bonds, which held an identical nominal volume of 100 million hryvnias, in April 2026.
Across the three fully settled bond series, NovaPay has repaid a total nominal volume of 300 million hryvnias. The financial firm stated that completing the redemptions demonstrates its overall financial stability and operational resilience.
NovaPay has continued to expand its corporate debt offerings to retail clients. As of the summer of 2026, more than 8,000 clients have purchased corporate bonds issued by the company. Total sales of NovaPay corporate bonds have surpassed 4 billion hryvnias.
Public corporate bond placements were largely halted across Ukraine following the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022. Economic disruptions, currency inflation, and heightened financial risk forced most domestic companies to suspend public capital market activity. NovaPay's decision to launch and fulfill public retail bond offerings represented a notable exception in the domestic financial market.
Expansion into financial inclusion banking
Beyond its corporate bond program, NovaPay has taken initial steps to expand its financial licenses and services. In November 2024, reports confirmed that NovaPay was seeking to acquire a simplified banking license under national financial regulations.
A simplified banking license allows non-bank financial institutions to provide basic banking products, such as consumer accounts and payment services, under streamlined regulatory standards set by central banking authorities.
Ukrainian regulators have highlighted the company's existing role in providing financial access. In 2025, officials at the National Bank of Ukraine, the country's central bank and financial regulatory body, stated that Nova Poshta was essentially already a fully prepared operator of financial inclusion.
Financial inclusion refers to providing accessible financial products and payment systems to populations in underserved regions or rural communities. In Ukraine, non-bank financial providers operating through delivery networks have helped maintain essential cash circulation and transaction processing during war conditions.
In June 2026, parent company Nova Group announced plans to purchase BTA Bank, a commercial bank registered in Ukraine. The group intends to convert BTA Bank into what is expected to be Ukraine's first specialized financial inclusion bank.
NovaPay is managed by Chief Executive Officer Ihor Prykhodko, who directs the company's financial operations and its ongoing integration into broader retail banking initiatives.
