Magaly Medina Slams Sheyla Rojas Over Joaquin Ramirez

Peruvian TV host Magaly Medina has strongly criticised former reality star Sheyla Rojas after she appeared alongside defeated politician Joaquin Ramirez during election day.

Speaking on her entertainment program Magaly TV, La Firme, Medina questioned Rojas for displaying affection toward Ramirez during the 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections in Cajamarca. She asserted that the candidate appeared completely indifferent to the former television personality throughout the electoral process.

Medina reviewed broadcast footage recorded on the final day of voting in the northern highland city of Cajamarca. She pointed out that Ramirez walked out alone without holding hands or taking notice of Rojas, suggesting he only included her in his campaign to attract crowds and public attention.

The host said Rojas spent the entire event begging for scraps of attention from the politician while he remained aloof. Medina added that Ramirez appeared unbothered by her presence, beauty, and flirtatious gestures, concluding that if the two were involved in a relationship, Rojas ought to walk away.

Criticism of Campaign Appearance

Medina is a veteran entertainment analyst in Peru whose nightly show on the ATV network focuses on celebrity gossip, scandals, and public figures. Rojas, a prominent model and influencer, first rose to fame as a cast member on Combate, a long-running Peruvian reality competition show that launched the careers of numerous television personalities.

Ramirez is a prominent Peruvian businessman and politician who served as mayor of Cajamarca and formerly held the position of secretary general within the Fuerza Popular political party. The 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections marked a major political contest across Peru, where voters selected regional governors, mayors, and local councillors.

Following Ramirez's defeat at the polls, observers noted that Rojas expressed frustration over the outcome on social media. Medina highlighted how the public display alongside the defeated candidate dominated discussions across Peruvian entertainment media in the hours following the vote count.

Impact on Past Relationship

During the same broadcast, Medina addressed speculation regarding whether Rojas might reconcile with her former partner, Mexican businessman Luis Miguel Galarza, who is widely known by the nickname Sir Winston.

The host stated that Rojas's heavy public exposure during Ramirez's political campaign made any potential reunion with Galarza extremely unlikely. Medina remarked that even if a small possibility of reconciliation had previously existed, the recent campaign events had effectively eliminated it.

Medina declared that she saw no future for a romance between Rojas and Galarza, describing the relationship as dead on arrival following the public spectacle in Cajamarca.

Rojas and Galarza formally ended their relationship in July 2026 after five years of living together. According to accounts shared by Medina, the Mexican entrepreneur maintained after their separation that he remained on good terms with the model and wished her the best in her future endeavours.
