Police and investigators in Kurgan are searching trash containers for the body of a 49-year-old local woman after her friend dismembered her. The regional management of the Investigative Committee of Russia confirmed to Lenta.ru that law enforcement officers are attempting to locate the victim's remains.
A 46-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the killing. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against her under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for murder. Investigators stated that the suspect has already provided confessing testimony and remains in custody.

According to the investigation, the accused hosted a gathering with alcohol involving two female friends on July 16. During the event, a quarrel broke out, prompting the suspect to grab a bat and strike the victim repeatedly on the head. The victim died from her injuries at the scene.
The second female friend then assisted the suspect in getting rid of the victim. They called male acquaintances for assistance, divided the body, and threw the parts into a trash container. The group also took the victim's mobile phone and sold it to a commission store.
