Russian television presenter and journalist Ksenia Sobchak has announced an exclusive interview with blogger Oksana Samoylova following reports that her former husband, rapper Dzhigan, took domestic staff hostage and opened fire at their residence.
Writing on her official Telegram channel, Sobchak confirmed that the broadcast would feature Samoylova's first detailed account alongside a full reconstruction of the alleged violent encounter involving the rap artist, whose real name is Denis Ustimenko-Weinstein.
Sobchak is one of the most prominent media personalities and journalists in Russia, known for hosting high-profile television programs and conducting major political and celebrity interviews. Samoylova is a well-known lifestyle blogger and fashion entrepreneur who commands a massive social media following, while Dzhigan is a successful hip-hop artist in the Russian music industry. The personal relationship and public lives of the celebrity couple have frequently drawn widespread media coverage across the country.
Addressing the timing of the announcement, Sobchak explained that she had been aware of the domestic incident at the family home for a considerable period before making it public. She stated that she had maintained strict confidentiality at the personal request of Samoylova, revealing that both women wept and swore while discussing the distressing events during their private conversation.
Allegations and denials
Initial reports of the incident emerged earlier on September 23, alleging that Dzhigan became agitated while in a state described as inadequate and began accusing those present in the house of various crimes. According to media reports, the musician proceeded to hold the household personnel hostage inside the property and allegedly fired a gun at one of his security guards.
The same reports indicated that the children shared by Dzhigan and Samoylova were inside the home when the confrontation took place and were forced to hide inside wardrobes to remain safe while the violent disturbance unfolded around them.
Dzhigan has publicly rejected all claims regarding the alleged shooting and hostage-taking at the residence, dismissing the reports published in the press as a provocation. Sobchak confirmed that the full interview with Samoylova and the detailed reconstruction of the event will be released on Friday.
